Useful info/links for changing your legal name and gender markers

In Victoria, changing both your name and gender on legal documents requires updating your birth certificate and other relevant records. This involves contacting the Victorian department Births, Deaths and Marriages to change your record of sex and potentially your name. Adults can apply and parents can apply on behalf of their child. You don’t need to have undergone social, medical or surgical affirmation procedures or processes. Then, you’ll need to update your documents with other relevant agencies.
